My Self
My name is Bambang Udoyono. I live in Bekasi, the outskirt of Jakarta, Indonesia. I was born on January 11, 1959 in a small town called Magelang in Central Java. After graduating from high school I went to Yogyakarta to continue my study at Gadjah Mada University. I studied International Relations there.
I found my first job before I graduate from college as a tour guide. I used to conduct tours mainly in Java and Bali. After graduating from college I worked in tourism and in my spare time I translated books on politics. Then I move to Bali. I lived there for four years. I worked in tourism and did handicraft business. I used to export handicraft to USA.
Then I moved back to Magelang to develop my business because it is closer to harbor and sources of raw materials.
Unfortunately ten years ago my business went bankrupt. Once again I had to move. This time to Jakarta.
Today I work as a teacher of English for Indonesian people and Indonesian language for expatriates. I do it in the afternoon. In the morning I write books on English and tourism. I also like blogging about politics and literature. |
